Guzman begins his first season with the Ducks and seventh in professional baseball. He began the 2023 season with the Amarillo Sod Poodles (AA, Arizona Diamondbacks) of the Texas League, and the Hillsboro Hops (High-A, Arizona Diamondbacks) of the Northwest League, batting .245 with two home runs, 16 RBI’s, 14 runs scored, 25 hits, and a .358 On-Base Percentage in 28 games played.

Guzman was originally signed by the Philadelphia Phillies as an amateur free agent in 2015. He spent the first six seasons of his career (2016-2019, 21-22) in the Phillies organization, reaching as high as Double-A Reading.
