Waite has played two seasons of professional baseball. He spent the 2023 season with Windy City of the Frontier League. In 47 games, he batted .217 with four home runs, 17 RBIs, 12 runs, 28 hits, four doubles, 22 walks and a .359 on-base percentage. During the 2022 season, he played with San Rafael of the Pecos League. Over 45 games, the California native batted .392 with 16 home runs, 65 RBIs, 58 runs, 69 hits, 11 doubles, 37 walks, a .530 on-base percentage, a .727 slugging percentage and a 1.257 OPS.

Prior to his professional career, the 25-year-old spent time in 2022 with Trenton of the MLB Draft League. He played in 14 games, hitting .214 with nine RBIs, five runs, nine hits, three doubles, nine walks and a .364 on-base percentage. The backstop played two seasons at Holy Names University in California, hitting .244 with two homers, 21 RBIs, 13 runs, 32 hits, six doubles, 20 walks and a .366 on-base percentage.
