Bio

Williams begins his first season with the Ducks and fifth in professional baseball. The pitcher spent parts of all five seasons (2019, 2021-24) in the Atlanta Braves organization, reaching as high as Double-A Mississippi. In 110 appearances (five starts), he compiled a 7-8 record with a 4.85 ERA, 16 saves and 191 strikeouts to 72 walks over 157.2 innings. The 26-year-old made six appearances with Mississippi in 2024, posting a 1.08 ERA and striking out seven batters in eight and one-third innings.

The North Carolina native split time in 2023 with High-A Rome and Double-A Mississippi, pitching in 37 games and recording a 5.26 ERA, eight saves and 72 strikeouts in 53.1 innings. He spent the two previous seasons at Single-A Augusta after spending his first season with rookie-level clubs in the Gulf Coast League and Appalachian League. Prior to his pro career, the righty played one seasons of collegiate baseball each at Pfeiffer University and Catawba College in North Carolina. Williams was originally selected by the Braves in the 20th round of the 2019 amateur draft.
