Baldwin begins his first season with the Ducks and 11th in professional baseball. The catcher was an MiLB.com Organization All-Star, and South Atlantic League Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star in 2017 as a member of the Greenville Drive (A) in the Boston Red Sox Organization. He was also a 2018 Carolina League Mid-Season All-Star with the Salem Red Sox (A+). 

The 29-year-old signed with the Boston Red Sox as an international free agent from the Dominican Republic in 2013. He has previously played with three other teams in the Atlantic League, including the High Point Rockers (2022), Staten Island FerryHawks (2023-24) and York Revolution (2024). During that stretch, he played in 151 games, batting .265 with a .763 OPS along with 23 home runs, 83 RBIs, 78 runs, 142 hits and 30 doubles.
