Sharp begins his first season with the Ducks and 10th in professional baseball. The pitcher joins the Ducks after spending one season in the Major Leagues. He pitched for the Miami Marlins in 2020, going 0-0 with a 10.13 ERA in four relief appearances along with three strikeouts over five and one-third innings of work. 

The 29-year-old Michigan native was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 22nd round of the 2016 amateur draft from Drury University (Springfield, Missouri). The right-hander has played in the Nationals (2016-19, 2021-22), Marlins (2020) and Rex Sox (2022-23) organizations. Sharp also pitched in three games in 2025 with Chihuahua (Mexico).
