Bio

Hackimer begins his first season with the Ducks and sixth in professional baseball. The right-hander spent the 2021 season in the New York Mets and Minnesota Twins organizations, reaching as high as the Triple-A level with both ballclubs, combining to go 2-1 with a 4.61 ERA in 34 games between Double-A Wichita (MIN), Double-A Binghamton (NYM), Triple-a St. Paul (MIN), and Triple-A Syracuse (NYM). He recorded six saves and 54 strikeouts over 41 innings of work during that time. In his Minor League career, Hackimer is 18-11 with 3.13 ERA and 28 saves in 150 games, striking out 247 batters in 210 innings pitched.

 The Floral Park resident whose hometown is New Hyde Park was drafted by the New York Mets in the 15th round of the 2015 amateur draft and the Minnesota Twins in the 4th round of the 2016 amateur draft, each time out of St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y. He also attended Archbishop Molloy High School, located in Queens as well.
