Bio
Beede begins his first season with the Ducks and 11th in professional baseball. The right-hander has five seasons of Major League experience, having pitched with the San Francisco Giants (2018-19, 2021-22), Pittsburgh Pirates (2022) and Cleveland Guardians (2024). In 71 MLB games (29 starts), he’s compiled an 8-16 record with a 5.55 ERA and 181 strikeouts to 92 walks in 201.0 innings of work.
The 32-year-old began the 2025 season with Triple-A St. Paul in the Minnesota Twins organization. In seven games (one start), he went 1-0 with an 8.00 ERA and one save. The Worcester, Mass., native was selected to play in the MLB Futures game and was a California League Mid-Season All-Star in 2015. The following year, he was named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star and an Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star. Beede was originally selected by the Giants in the first round (14th overall) of the 2014 amateur draft from Vanderbilt University.
