2017 season to feature family fun for everyone

(Central Islip, N.Y., March 13, 2017) – The Long Island Ducks today announced their promotional schedule for the 2017 season. The good times will keep on rolling all season long, with exciting giveaways, theme nights and promotions taking place every time Ducks fans enter the ballpark. Tickets are available for all 70 regular season home games by visiting the Bethpage Ballpark box office, calling (631) 940-TIXX or by CLICKING HERE.

A record-tying 17 Fireworks Spectaculars will light the sky above Bethpage Ballpark to highlight the promotional schedule. Fireworks will continue to follow every Saturday night game, and the season will be accented by FOUR consecutive fireworks shows from July 1 to 4 in celebration of Independence Day. Special fireworks will also take place on Opening Weekend (April 29) and for annual theme nights such as Military Appreciation Night, presented by Northrop Grumman (August 5) and Breast Cancer Awareness Night (August 25).

Fans will be treated to several new theme nights as well during the 2017 season. Northwell Health will present “Heart Health Night” on Wednesday, May 17. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Commemorative T-Shirts, and the Ducks will wear special red jerseys for the game, which will be auctioned off that night. Following the game, all fans in attendance will be treated to a Fireworks Extravaganza. Friday, August 4 will be Salute to First Responders Night, presented by National Grid. The Ducks will be recognizing those who help protect and serve our community each and every day. Long Island will also be showing its appreciation this season to those veterans who have fought for and protected our freedom. In addition to the nightly “Heroes of the Game” recognition program, presented by New York Community Bank and the QuackerJack Foundation, the Ducks will host Veterans Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 3.

Many familiar theme nights will also be returning to the schedule this year. These include “Bark in the Park” Night (May 16), “Don’t Zone Out” Night, presented by CSEA (June 1), Health Night, presented by Northwell Health (June 19), YMCA of Long Island Night (July 6), Anti-Bullying Night, presented by the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying (July 14), Irish Night, presented by Shandon Court (July 17), Camp Day (July 26), “The Great Plesser’s Giveaway” Night (August 9), Jewish Heritage Night (August 20) and Fan Appreciation Day (September 10).

All of the fun for 2017 will get started on Opening Night, Friday April 28 when the Ducks host the New Britain Bees. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive bobbleheads of Ducks alumni and current Major Leaguer Rich Hill, courtesy of P.C. Richard & Son. The collectible is the first among a plethora of outstanding giveaway items fans will have the opportunity to take home this season. Other items include:

In addition to the many wonderful giveaways and theme nights taking place, the Ducks will also continue to feature special promotions occurring every day of the week. The Weekly Promotional Lineup will continue to feature many fan favorites while also including some new additions for this year. The following is this year’s weekly promotional schedule:

MILITARY MONDAYS – A brand new promotion for 2017! As a thank you to the men and women of the armed forces who risk their lives to keep us safe, active military members (with valid military ID) will receive a special $7 ticket offer when purchasing Monday game tickets at the Bethpage Ballpark box office (subject to availability).

TWO-FER TUESDAYS – Fans purchasing tickets to any Tuesday home game online at LIDucks.com or via the Ducks mobile app can receive a special buy one, get one free offer by entering the promo code “BOGO” at checkout (max four total tickets per transaction).

WADDLE IN WEDNESDAYS – During each Wednesday home game, a special item in the Waddle In Shop will be available at a 20{2db62e8169997a8d599beca7d6013ac1e46056278d69ddd3df039f4c0be21f7d} discount all game long! The selected item will change throughout the year and will be announced on LIDucks.com the morning of each Wednesday home game and at the ballpark during the game.

THIRSTY THURSDAYS – The Duck Club Restaurant/Bar, normally reserved for VIP/Season Ticket Holders only, will be open to all fans at Thursday home games! The bar will feature drink specials, including half price domestics, while the restaurant will offer special menu selections.

FOWL POLE FRIDAYS – If a Ducks player hits a home run off of one of the foul poles during a Friday home game, one lucky fan will win $50,000! In addition, a visiting team player will be selected as the Pizza Hut K-Man of the game. If that player strikes out, fans can redeem their game ticket for a special offer at a participating Pizza Hut location.

SPECTACULAR SATURDAYS – The most popular promotion of the year is featured every Saturday night! Enjoy a postgame Fireworks Spectacular from your seats at Bethpage Ballpark. Following the show, be sure to grab your coupon for a spectacular offer from Dick’s Sporting Goods as you exit the ballpark.

SUNDAY FAMILY FUNDAYS – Sundays are full of family fun for everyone! Prior to the game, all fans will be invited onto the field for an autograph session with the Ducks. After the game, kids (and kids at heart) can be like their favorite Ducks player during Kids Run the Bases, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
