(Brentwood, N.Y., Dec. 9, 2017) – On Saturday, QuackerJack joined the staff of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Brentwood as they hosted their annual “Breakfast with Santa” event.
Patrons who dined at the establishment that morning received a delicious pancake breakfast complete with scrambled eggs and sausage. They also were able to mingle with Long Island’s favorite mascot along with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Smokey the Bear. A raffle was held at the end of the event, and proceeds from the entire day’s festivities benefitted the Marine Toys for Tots program.
QuackerJack continues to stay busy during the holiday season, starting with a visit this upcoming Sunday to Pro Game Athletics in Bay Shore for their Holiday Food and Fun Drive. He will be in attendance from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., and those attending are encouraged to bring food and used equipment donations. QJ will then join the Ducks Street Team later this month when they visit the pediatric units of several local hospitals to drop off donated gifts for the holidays.
The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
