Ducks mascot celebrates fun day with children on Long Island

(Mineola, N.Y., Feb. 21, 2018) – On Wednesday, Long Island Ducks mascot QuackerJack stopped by the Nassau County Bar Association to for the organization’s 30th Annual WE CARE Fund Children’s Festival.

The eight-time Best Long Island Mascot greeted all of the children in attendance as they enjoyed some delicious treats. He then joined New York Mets mascot Mr. Met and New York Islanders mascot Sparky on the dance floor with dozens of kids to show off his moves.

QuackerJack also played many games with the children, including basketball shooting and air hockey challenges. Finally, QJ checked out the fire department truck and police cars that were on-site for the children to see and learn about.

The WE CARE Fund is the nationally-recognized charitable arm of the Nassau County Bar Association. Founded in 1988 by NCBA Past President Stephen Gassman, WE CARE funds are raised by the legal profession and the community at large. The money is distributed through charitable grants to improve the quality of life for children, the elderly and others in need throughout Nassau County.

QuackerJack and the Long Island Ducks Street Team are gearing up for the 2018 All-Star Summer! They will be attending several St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the communitiy throughout March. Be sure to stop by and say hello to QJ and the Ducks at them all:

March 18: Patchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade (12:00 p.m.)
