Single admission doubleheader scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

(Waldorf, Md., April 22, 2017) – Saturday’s (April 22) game between the Long Island Ducks and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs at Regency Furniture Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Saturday’s (4/22) game will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader on Sunday, April 23. Game one is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m., while game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the opener. Both games are scheduled for seven innings.

Fans can follow all the action for both games of the twinbill on the Long Island Ducks Broadcast Network. Live HD streaming video and audio will be available via BoxCast on the Ducks’ official Facebook page, YouTube channel and at LIDucks.com. Right-hander and Long Island native Keith Couch takes the mound for the Ducks in game one against Blue Crabs righty and Maryland native Daryl Thompson. Game two will see right-hander Tim Melville toe the rubber for Long Island against Southern Maryland righty Brian Grening.

Long Island will return home on Friday, April 28 for the 2017 home opener against the New Britain Bees. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Rich Hill Bobbleheads, courtesy of P.C. Richard and Son. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early for player introductions along with traditional Opening Night pomp and circumstance.
