Single admission doubleheader scheduled for Sunday at 1:35 pm
(New Britain, Conn., May 13, 2017) – Saturday’s (May 13) game between the Long Island Ducks and New Britain Bees at New Britain Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Saturday’s (5/13) game will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader on Sunday, May 14. Game one is slated to begin at the originally scheduled time of 1:35 pm, while game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the opener. Both games are scheduled for seven innings.
Fans can follow all the action for both games of the twinbill on the Long Island Ducks Broadcast Network. Live HD streaming video and audio will be available via BoxCast on the Ducks’ official Facebook page, YouTube channel and at LIDucks.com. Left-hander Rafael Perez gets the start for the Ducks in game one against Bees righty Mike Lee. Game two will see right-hander Dennis O’Grady take the mound for Long Island against New Britain righty Brian Dupra.
Long Island returns home on Tuesday, May 16 to open up another three-game series against the Revolution. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full-season ticket holders). Tuesday will be the annual “Bark in the Park” Night at the ballpark, and all fans wishing to bring their dog to the game must purchase a Pooch Pass in advance. Each pass is $13 and includes a game ticket in designated box seating sections as well as admission for one dog.
