“Meet the Flockers” and “Seats of Dreams” programs begin in 2014
(Central Islip, N.Y., March 25, 2014) – Season ticket packages with the Long Island Ducks in 2014 will now feature two more exciting benefits with the launch of the “Meet the Flockers” and “Seats of Dreams” programs. These new additions will offer season ticket holders the chance to be recognized at the ballpark for their dedication and allow them the opportunity to donate unused tickets to local charities.
“Season ticket holders are the lifeblood of our organization,” says Ducks president and general manager Michael Pfaff. “We wanted to create a way to thank them for their loyalty during our 15th Anniversary Season and provide the chance to give the Ducks experience they love to those who may not otherwise be able to enjoy it.”
“Meet the Flockers” launched on Saturday, March 22 during the Ducks “Opening Day of Ticket Sales,” and many season ticket holders came out to the ballpark to take part. This program will allow season ticket holders to be highlighted on the DuckVision video board throughout the 2014 campaign, as the organization thanks its most loyal fans for being a part of the ‘Faithful Flock.’ Those with season ticket packages will be able to have their picture taken at the ballpark and displayed on the DuckVision video board during a game this season.
Season ticket holders can schedule a time to pick up their tickets and have their picture taken by contacting the ticket office at (631) 940-3825 ext. 115 and 116. Those taking part in “Meet the Flockers” will then be notified during the season when their picture will be displayed on the DuckVision video board.
The Ducks have also teamed up with “Seats of Dreams” to allow children and those less fortunate the opportunity to see Long Island’s hometown team at Bethpage Ballpark. Season ticket holders will be able to donate their tickets to the organization, who will then in turn donate them to organizations around Long Island. A tax-deductible donation of at least two Ducks tickets to any game can be made, and there is no charge for donating tickets to Seats of Dreams.
“This is something to me that seems just so simple,” Seats of Dreams co-founder David Bieber said. “To take a ticket that would otherwise go unused and instead enable a child to experience a childhood dream–what could be more rewarding?”
To donate your tickets for local charities that serve children and families, please visit the Bethpage Ballpark box office or call (631) 940-3825 ext. 115 or 116 up to 24 hours before the game you are donating. Season ticket holders who donate their tickets will receive an e-mail tax receipt for their donation from Seats of Dreams.
