Learn the game from Long Island Ducks players and coaches
Time is winding down to sign up for session two of the Long Island Ducks annual Kids Baseball Clinics at Bethpage Ballpark, presented by Stop & Shop. Children of all abilities between the ages of seven and 14 are invited to register. Registration forms are available by CLICKING HERE, or interested parties can call (631) 940-3825 ext. 102 to sign up.
“It is always exciting to see young ballplayers on our field having fun and improving their game,” says Ducks manager and former Major Leaguer Kevin Baez. “The clinics give kids a chance to learn tricks of the trade from professional players and enjoy a unique experience.”
The second Kids Clinic session will occur Monday, August 13 through Wednesday, August 15 and will be led by Baez as well as several Ducks players. All three days of the clinic will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and children should arrive no later than 8:45.
Clinic participants will receive three days of instruction, lunch each day, an official Kids Clinics t-shirt and their very own Ducks hat. Kids need only bring a glove, a bat and be ready to play, rain or shine!
Ducks Kids Clinics have been among the most popular events held at Bethpage Ballpark each season. Check out what a parent from last year’s event said:
“My daughter, Grace, enjoyed the Ducks Clinic! The team put her in a group that was perfect for her skill level. [Ducks outfielder] Angelo Songco really made the ‘learning of the game’ experience so much fun.”
