Special event to be hosted in Duck Club at Bethpage Ballpark

The Long Island Ducks will host “Opening Night of Ticket Sales” at Bethpage Ballpark TONIGHT at 5:00 p.m. After 18 consecutive seasons of opening ticket sales with a morning event, this inaugural evening event will take place in the Duck Club restaurant and bar, with individual game tickets for the 2018 All-Star Summer, presented by Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, officially going on sale at 6:00 p.m.

“The unique nature of the upcoming All-Star Summer deserves an extraordinary event to celebrate the beginning of individual game ticket sales,” said Ducks President/GM Michael Pfaff. “We look forward to everyone visiting the ballpark to enjoy this brand new experience with us.”

Fans will be able to enjoy the climate-controlled atmosphere of the exclusive Duck Club, normally reserved for season ticket and luxury suite holders during Ducks games. Several televisions in the restaurant, including brand new 65-inch screens on both sides, will be showing live NCAA Tournament games. Following tickets going on sale at 6:00, the Ducks will host a special Q&A/autograph session with several Ducks players and coaches in attendance. Finally, fans will be able to relax in the club seats and enjoy a showing of the popular children’s movie, Moana, which will be played live on the DuckVision video board at 6:30 p.m. (weather permitting).

During the build-up to tickets going on sale, Big Mike from WALK 97.5 will emcee the festivities with trivia contests and other fun games. QuackerJack, the Eight-time Best Long Island Mascot, will also be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs. Additional activities taking place include:

Virtual reality gaming with Microsoft HTC VIVE console on the ballpark concourse
Fan photo opportunity with the team’s Atlantic League Championship trophies and Ferry Cup
Duck Tail Slide and Bounce House open outside suite lobby entrance
Waddle In Shop open to purchase Ducks gear, including official All-Star Game merchandise available for the first time!
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and discounted beverages in the Duck Club
Guest Bartending from manager Kevin Baez and outfielder/hitting coach Lew Ford

Along with all of the excitement taking place, this will be the first opportunity for fans to purchase individual game tickets to all 2018 Ducks home games. It will also be the first chance to obtain tickets to the 2018 Atlantic League All-Star Game, presented by Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, which will be held at Bethpage Ballpark on Wednesday, July 11th, at 6:35 p.m. Fans will be able to purchase their tickets in the Duck Club during the event, and ticket representatives will print and deliver their orders directly that evening.
