Single admission doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
(New Britain, Conn., June 6, 2017) – Tuesday’s (June 6) game between the Long Island Ducks and New Britain Bees at New Britain Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Tuesday’s (6/6) game will be made up on Wednesday, June 7 as part of a single admission doubleheader. Game one is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m., while game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the opener. Both games are slated for seven innings.
Fans can follow all the action for both games of the twin bill on the Long Island Ducks Broadcast Network. Live streaming HD video and audio will be available via BoxCast on the Ducks’ official Facebook page, YouTube channel and at LIDucks.com. Right-hander Dennis O’Grady (1-2, 3.34) gets the start for the Ducks in game one against Bees righty Mike Lee (0-3, 4.68). Right-hander Tim Melville (2-4, 3.95) takes the mound for Long Island in game two against New Britain righty Brian Dupra (3-2, 2.67).
Long Island returns home on Friday, June 9 to begin a three-game set with the Bluefish. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Ducks T-Shirts, courtesy of Petro Home Services. It’s also a Fowl Pole Friday at the Duck Pond, and if a select Ducks player hits a home run off of one of the foul poles during the game, one lucky fan will win $50,000. In addition, a Bluefish player will be selected as the Pizza Hut K-Man of the game.
