Single admission doubleheader scheduled for Thursday at 5:00 p.m.

(York, Pa., Sept. 5, 2017) – Tuesday’s (September 5) series opener between the Long Island Ducks and York Revolution at PeoplesBank Park has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Tuesday’s (9/5) game will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader on Thursday, September 7. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the opener, and both games will be slated for seven innings.

The Ducks and Revs will now open their three-game set on Wednesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from PeoplesBank Park. Fans can follow all the action on the Long Island Ducks Broadcast Network. Live streaming HD video and audio will be available via BoxCast on the Ducks’ official Facebook page, YouTube channel and at LIDucks.com. Right-hander John Brownell (9-4, 3.52) gets the start for the Ducks against Revolution righty Victor Mateo (6-8, 4.26).

Long Island returns home on Friday, September 8 to begin a three-game series against the Bridgeport Bluefish, the final homestand of the regular season. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). It’s Back to School Night at the ballpark, and the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Ducks Notebooks, courtesy of Long Island Teachers. It’s also a Fowl Pole Friday, and if a select Ducks player hits a home run off of one of the foul poles during the game, one lucky fan will win $50,000. In addition, a Bluefish player will be selected as the Pizza Hut K-Man of the game. If that player strikes out, fans will receive a special offer for a FREE 1-Topping Personal Pizza at a participating Pizza Hut location.
