The good times keep on rolling; Individual tickets on sale Saturday

(Central Islip, N.Y., March 14, 2015) – The 2016 season of Ducks baseball will feature good times, every time once again at Bethpage Ballpark! The Long Island Ducks today unveiled their promotional schedule for their 17th season of play on Long Island, including their full weekly promotional lineup. Tickets for all promotions are now on sale!

All of the fun kicks off on Ducks Opening Night, Thursday, April 28, when P.C. Richard & Son presents a brand new giveaway: “Bud Harrelson Garden Gnome Night!” The first 1,500 fans in attendance will take home this highly sought-after keepsake featuring baseball legend Bud Harrelson, courtesy of the electronics & appliance giant and charter Ducks sponsor. Gates will open at 5:35 p.m. prior to that night’s game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, and fans will want to be in their seats early. Several awards will be presented prior to first pitch, and all will be treated to traditional Opening Night pomp and circumstance.

The promotional schedule will also be highlighted by a record-tying 17 Grucci Fireworks Extravaganzas lighting the sky following Ducks games. The world famous Grucci family will be back at the Duck Pond this year performing each spectacular show. The Guinness World Records holders for "Largest Fireworks Display" ever recorded and "Largest Pyrotechnic Image" has performed some of the most notable shows of all-time, including presidential inaugurations, Olympic games, world fairs and New Year’s Eve celebrations.

In addition, Ducks fans will be able to collect six exclusive pins as part of the 2016 Collector’s Series. The first 1,000 fans at six different games will take home a pin honoring one of the many Atlantic League awards that have been won by members of the Ducks. Included in the series are pins honoring Player of the Year winners, Ray Navarrete and Lew Ford, Pitcher of the Year winners, Mike Loree and John Brownell, Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner Dan Lyons and Mascot of the Year winner, QuackerJack. Many more items will be featured as giveaways throughout the season. The preliminary 2016 promotional schedule can be viewed at the end of the release.

Additionally, the Ducks will once again present a weekly promotional lineup that includes exciting events going on every single day! Fans will have opportunities to win incredible prizes, receive discounts or special offers and enjoy several fun-filled activities, including some new additions. The following is this year’s weekly promotional schedule:

In addition, a visiting team player will be selected as the Pizza Hut K-Man of the game. If that player strikes out, fans can redeem their game ticket for a special offer at a participating Pizza Hut location. Finally, Ducks staff members will be handing out coupons for an exclusive offer from OK Petroleum as fans exit the ballpark following the game.

FIREWORKS AND DICK’S SPORTING GOODS SATURDAYS – The hottest ticket in town and annually the most popular promotion of the year now takes place every Saturday night! Enjoy a postgame Grucci Fireworks Extravaganza from your seats at Bethpage Ballpark. Then as you exit the ballpark, be sure to grab your coupon for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

– Bethpage Ballpark is the place to bring the whole family on Sundays! Prior to the game, fans will be invited onto the field for an autograph session with the Ducks.
